Author and illustrator of two children's books set in Dartmouth, Massachusetts about a French Canadian immigrant who raised goats for the health benfits of their milk, Noelie Houle, "The Goat Lady."
With a lifelong interest in art, Jane Bregoli received her BFA in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art. Her Master’s degree thesis project from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth was “The Goat Lady Paintings,” which were later included in her first children’s book, “The Goat Lady.”
Her paintings and writing have won many National awards. They have been exhibited widely, including at the Heifer Project headquarters in Massachusetts.
Jane taught art in the public elementary school system for 20 years and, upon retiring, has practiced ceramics and printmaking and continued to paint in oils and watercolors.
